Summary: The objective of this study is to analyze how Ifes communication team perform actions of internal communication in network. The studys context is the technological revolution of the late twentieth century which, in addition to being a restructuring of the capitalist mode of production and accumulation, is also the transformation in information, processing and communication technologies, forming the informational,
global and networked economy. It was from this paradigm of information technology emergence that the network perspective become able to expand and embed throughout the social structure. Therefore, this concept of network also transports itself to the organizational universe and, from the postmodern point of view, the network configuration replaces hierarchies and emerges as an option to transform
organizations in favor of globalization, following a complex and dynamic world. The methodological approach was qualitative and used the semi-structured interview as an instrument of data collection, performed with civil servants responsible for Ifes campuses communication and with civil servants of the Social Communications Office, located in the Institutes rectory. The data analysis was done using the coding and categorization described by Gibbs (2009). The results show that the central problems for performing internal communication in network are: the need to adapt
internal communication channels; the fact that networking only happens on demand; the bad definition of information flow; management dependence; and lack of resources (financial, structural and human) in campuses. From these findings, a group of actions is proposed in order to minimize the difficulties encountered.
