Summary: Public servers removal is a legal institution related to people movement within federal state institutions regulated by Law nº 8.112/90. Moving people within an institution may be considered, at a first glance, a simple process that does not involve much from public administration. Nonetheless, it has been seen, in the context of the studied institute, a true phenomenon, which involves relevant organizational aspects besides the interest of many public servers. By this reason, this research aimed to analyze this process and identify which aspects of organizational justice and transparency, involved on those internal movements, would show weaknesses and improvement opportunities. For this purpose, a descriptive, qualitative research had been conducted, through documental analysis and semi-structured interviews, with open questions, with the informed consent of the interviewees. Research subjects were public servers that had required any removal, former directors and the current general director of one specific IFES campi. Data collected was analyzed and interpreted, by using content analysis techniques. As a result, there was identified existing problems regarding different criteria applied on a sample of removal requirement, lack of clearness, non-publication and difficulties of access to information related to removals by institutional and formal means. In face of these facts, it was raised three proposals on an aiming to improvement procedures currently taken, involving solutions to identified problems.
