Summary: This study aimed to map the social insertion of the post-graduate program in electrical engineering at the Federal University of Espirito Santo (PPGEE/UFES) considering the situation of graduates in the labor market. To reach this, in the first stage, were collected curriculum details of 355 Masters and 103 PhDs. After that, in the second stage, six masters and three PhDs were interviewed, prioritizing diversity of performances. As reference source, were used the Area Documents prepared by the Coordination of Superior Level Staff Improvement (CAPES), documents that operationalize the systematic process of evaluation of the Post-Graduate. The data were tabulated in a spreadsheet and presented as graphs and charts. The results proved that the PPGEE/UFES has a strong influence in the professional career of alumnus and they were capable to realize the contribution of PPGEE/UFES for theirs professional careers. This study enables the coordination of the program verify the profile outlined by the graduates and the labor market, prioritizing the employability of graduates. The recommendation is the post-graduate program (PPGEE/UFES) develops a cooperation program that reunites graduates and students.
