Summary: The Professional Master (MP), since its conception in the late nineties, has been increasingly gaining relevance in the Brazilian Post-Graduation scenario. In addition to the quantitative growth, it is also imperative to improve the quality of the courses and for this, evaluation processes were created by the Coordination of Superior Level Staff Improvement (CAPES). In this way, a research was carried out to identify the necessary informational needs based on the dissertations, as a way to subsidize the coordination of the Master's degree in Public Management of the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES) regarding the evaluation carried out by CAPES and program management. For this, a qualitative research was carried out in which a bibliographical review, a documentary survey and interviews were used as a form of data collection. After analysis, all the informational needs of the course coordination that could be subsidized by the dissertations were listed, and later validated by the Pro Rector of Research and Post-Graduation of the institution, by the Vice-President of the National Forum of Professional Master and by the coordination of another MP. It was found that the needs raised are in line with the discussions held in Brazil on the management of professional masters. As a result, an online registration form was created in the UFES survey tool, based on the LimeSurvey software, for the collection of data from the dissertations that later will subsidize the coordination of the MP to complete the CAPES evaluation.
