Summary: Introduction: Nowadays, the influence of globalization promotes significant changes in society, such as technological advancement, shortening of distances, improved media, as well as impacts on politics, economy and education. One of the effects of globalization on education is the internationalization of Higher Education (HE), which has been a recurring subject in the academic scenario, based on institutional strategic planning and in sectoral levels. Problem: In the case of the Federal University of Espirito Santo (UFES), it is clear that the academic community has little knowledge on the theme “internationalization”. Herein, the general objective of this research is to expose internationalization actions and strategies, specifically, Double degree, in order to provide subsidies to stimulate this modality and promote its viability for the students of the institution’s undergraduate courses. Approach and type of research: The research is qualitative approach supported by some statistical calculations. It is characterized as descriptive and exploratory, as it takes the form of a case of study. Source and Data Instruments: Bibliographic studies and documental analysis were performed with regard to Internationalization in Higher Education in Brazil, worldwide and at UFES; Interviews were also conducted with teachers and staff involved in the internationalization process of UFES. Finally, questionnaires were applied to the coordinators of undergraduate courses focusing on Internationalization and on the implementation of Double degree processes in order to identify the knowledge and interest of the courses regarding internationalization. Results: Based on the questionnaires and interviews applied, it was compared the internationalizations process at UFES and others Federal Universities in Brazil. Also a diagnosis of the action and strategies promoted by the International Relations Office of UFES was made and stem from it developed a guidebook of the internationalization strategies for the undergraduate courses.
