Summary: This study aimed to present analysis and proposal for systematization, organization and flow order of technical-administrative processes to formalize general agreements for international academic cooperation. The research was developed in a Brazilian higher education institution, in process of internationalization, the Federal University of Espírito Santo (Ufes). For that purpose, 20 technical-administrative processes for formalization of general agreements for international cooperation signed by Ufes through its International Office (SRI), Division of Cooperation Agreements, actively validated, published in the Brazilian Official Gazette (DOU) in 2018, were analyzed. This is a qualitative, descriptive, documentary research. It was observable that the lack of standardization of documents, the absence of a technical-administrative server exclusively dedicated to international agreements and the international shipment of physical documents are factors that delay the conclusion of general agreements for international academic cooperation at Ufes. Standards for documents and detailed flows of the technical-administrative procedure were presented as final products of this dissertation
