Summary: The process of evolution of our society has brought us, since the dawn of civilization, technological innovations that are received by each individual in their own way. The last decades have brought us an exponential technological development, especially in the area of information and communication technologies. Relevant studies show that psychosocial factors have a great influence on the acceptance of new technologies by individuals. This paper aims to analyze the psychosocial factors that affect the acceptance and use of the Electronic Information System (SEI) in the Federal Highway Police. The research was carried out with PRF servers in the State of Espírito Santo, applying an adaptation of the UTAUT model (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology) by Venkateshet et al. (2003). The methodology employed, of a quantitative, descriptive and transversal character, examined the relationships between the variables of the model and tested some hypotheses. The results presented show that three of the analyzed constructs do not have, in their relationships with the intention to use the system under study, sufficient significance to contribute to the predictive accuracy of the adapted model. They are: Anxiety, Self-efficacy and Social Influence. However, it is possible to prove that the other constructs analyzed, namely, Attitude, Expectation of Effort, Performance Expectation, Facilitating Conditions and Intention to Use, have a moderate to substantial predictive capacity for the model, in relation to Intention to Use, with an approximate value of 69%. While with respect to Use Behavior, the model has an accuracy of 27%, which represents a weak to moderate degree. This study generated, as a technical product, a conclusive report based on the results of the survey with suggestions for improving the use of the Electronic Information System (SEI) in the Federal Highway Police.
