Summary: As demands and social relations were affected by current changes, mainly globalization and technological evolution, leading to a reanalysis of concepts and ethical practices that govern such coexistence. Consequently, there was a need to readjust the process of training health professionals, making the university concerned with awakening in students the relevance of ethics in their training and in their future professional practice.
