Summary: The study addresses the issue of how to implement the Environmental Agenda
in Public Administration (A3P) at the Federal Institute of Espírito Santo (Ifes). It
aims to analyze the actions related to the Thematic Axes of the A3P, identify the
gaps and challenges faced in adopting the program, and propose a regulation
for its implementation. The theoretical framework presents sustainability as a
relevant topic in contemporary times, supported by legal norms pertinent to the
regulation and guidance of environmentally responsible practices, within the
context in which the A3P emerges. This initiative is fundamental for promoting
sustainability within the Brazilian governmental sphere, seeking to engage
public agencies in specific Thematic Axes. Regarding the methodology, the
research is qualitative, applied, and exploratory. It uses a structured
questionnaire as a tool to investigate behaviors related to the program within
the institutional environment and conducts a documentary analysis to collect
data on sustainable actions in the twenty-one campuses of the Federal Institute
of Espírito Santo. The results obtained show that Ifes does not operate
organically in environmental management, despite the presence of sustainable
actions. This indicates the possibility of a coordinated structure of centralized
management in the area of sustainability. The proposed technical product is the
creation of a sustainability policy that standardizes attitudes related to the
environment.
